This site isn't fully up to date on the superfoods, but it does cover many of the well known foods. Do a search for a food type in the top right right.

http://nutritiondata.self.com/

Someone said to me yesterday about being concerned about needing certain proteins so I went and made sure I had all the data fully, its always useful to refresh yourself, and that all my bases are covered. On a vegan diet apart from needing B12 in things like yeast extract, which is a nice top up, you are more than covered. This is a useful resource for your own research and if anyone ever poses such a question to you, on protein for instance bring up:

or even Oats:

A very slight step down on protein from quinoa but a slight step up in other areas, so I do both ;), both cheap and can be bought in bulk. Quinoa is what weight lifters call a complete protein.

Anyway I hope that site helps!

hi wanted to respond on grape seed extract versus grapefruit seed extract: grape seed extract is for different kind of ailments example: the hart ,comes in tablet form and is industrially leftover from the grape. grape fruit seed extract however, comes in liquid form and has a broad antibacterial function killing bacteria viral infections, yeast infections and parasitical infections throw away anti-biotics.

Usage externally you can wash fruit and veg ,use to clean hair ,skin etc clean water internally as i said for infections, like kidney infection abscess etc.

Dillute 5 to 10 drops in water use it 3 to5 timesdaily in beginning of infection later slow this down.

Speaking of experience im using it when a kidney infection bothers me.

carefull though is very strong

Bought a bottle of GSE, grapefruit seed extract today. Sevan is talking about grape-seed extract. Does anyone know what exactly the difference is between the two, and what is the best way to use (ingest) this product for the best results? Thank you in advance.

A herbalists and health researchers view of yellow vs red maca, also some words on coffee, energy drinks etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5LA7W2HUfU It was useful to me as it broke down the concept of the when there are two strains of the exact same plant/food, the darker the color, as a general rule, the more nutrients involved in that type of the plant.

Really informative Sevan I appreciate your research and experience.

I would like to get some real clarity on Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) I have heard you say and articles that it is neccessary after unfriendly parasites have invaded your body to use MSM. The articles I have researched says it forms a like telflon ccoating on the intestional tract thus paraqsites bacteria and all cannot cling to the walls and feast on your nutients???? It is highly recognized as one of the best detox, the price is right for those of us on a budget. You mentioned it is a bleach, do you mean like lemons clean, or baking soda or it has the same balance of chemicals as bleach ????

ThankAll  for adding balance to my knowledge of this amino acid

It might seem contrarian, but water is one of the best "super foods" known to man. I happen to live in a place that boasts some of the best water in the world, containing all of the minerals required by the human body in the exact proportions coming from the pure "glacial milk" flowing from pristine lakes high in the Andes of Ecuador. i agree about the foods being perverted, polluted and what have you. i brought some lemons from a whole foods market in newark, delaware and some had seeds and some did not; i was pissed. im no professional in organics but shouldnt they ALL have seeds? what reputable food distributors are there? I travel frequently to new new york does anyone know of shops there that are authentic suppliers of whole foods, sincere and have integrity? btw what about krill oil? it could be added to a salad or incorporated into a recipie such as fish or soup?
