I literally JUST had this dream so I'm posting while it's fresh in my head.

I had a dream where I was in a Japanese stage-play that was being filmed. This play was about a business man who tried to buy a small village and then sell the land to make a profit. The villagers didn't like this so they went to a nearby ocean and made a deal with the sea monster there that they would worship him if he took care of this business man. So the monster took human form and attempted to meet with this business man and earn his trust. Eventually the two become good friends and one day the villagers attacked the business man as him and his friend the sea monster are out for a walk. The business man is beaten half to death and the sea monster whispers in his ear everything that is going on and that this is not just a normal stage-play but a ritual and that he is an actual sea monster that plans to kill him in the scene where he dies in the play. As the sea monster drags the business man across the stage, the guy playing the business man breaks free and tries to run away but is bitten and that is where I woke up.

Details about this dream include, all of the actors were Japanese, I myself was playing the part of the business man (though I wasn't in my own body), the scene where the villagers attacked actually had credits and I saw the names of all the actors (can't remember any of them), and as the monster was dragging me there was Irish folk dancing music and the villagers were singing: "Oh Japanese, Oh Japanese, carry him into the sea, the monster will rip through his flesh and carry him in his teeth". Also the place where the monster bit me is pretty sore.

I don't want this post to sound anti-Japanese or anything and if I does I apologize. I want to know exactly what kind of lucid dream was that and what I can do to keep it from happening again. I refuse to go to sleep, honestly this experience was one of the most frightening I've ever had in my life. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

To see a bite in your dream forewarns of danger from someone who wish you harm, either physical or financial. Be careful of people who surround you.

To dream that you are being bitten represents your vulnerability regarding some unresolved issues or emotions. You may be pestered by a problem or obstacle. The dream may also be a metaphor indicating that you have bitten off more than you chew. Perhaps you have too much to handle.

To dream that you are being bitten by a vampire signifies your need to shut out a person in your life who has been using you. It is time to open your eyes and stand up for yourself. Do not let yourself be manipulated and played for a fool.

To dream that you are in a play represents the roles you play in your life and the various acts and personas you put on.

To see or dream that you are a businessperson represents the rational and organized aspect of yourself.

To dream that you are in a village represents restrictions. You need to follow the rules. Alternatively, a village signifies community, simplicity, and tradition.

To dream about Japan or that you are in Japan, depends on your own personal associations with the country. If you have never been to Japan, then the dream may represent some sort of realization enlightenment. As the land of the rising sun, Japan symbolizes peace of mind and tranquility.

It's possible that in this scenario, that you can interchange the term vampire for this sea monster. Well to me it seems, like you are working out an internal conflict that you have been struggling with. Since you identified with the business person I would believe that you see yourself more as a rational person who is in conflict with a more simpler (intuitive/instinctual) side to yourself. Possibly indicating that you might need to slow down with some self-inquiry and contemplation of who you believe yourself to be.

Take care
