Separate to that my personal question is:
Why does being alkaline aid meditation. I understand the connection to the earth, mother the heart etc, but still not why it aids meditation beyond that.

This is something I could sell, a lot of if you wanted someone in that regard. The amount of conditions I see people with and tell them ways to gain a more alkaline diet, trouble is not everyone can do that and of course some just won't. People will take tablets though :), much easier than they will (or can) change their diet.
